What information hound would be worth her salt without access to the latest gossip? Our American culture thrives on bite sized morsels of the latest garb. We have major industries and media built around it.

Now, don't get me wrong, as a practicing Buddhist, I avoid participating in rumors because they can be deplete of the truth, and often skew reality for the thrill of their sensationalism. But the Apple Rumors Gadget is not all that. It makes no attempt to vilify any particular person or company, it is merely an aggregation of the buzz about the pundits. Like all other Jelmor gadgets it is updated every few minutes, so keep this gadget close by, and you'll be the first of your friends in the know.

  • The Apple Investor

I trade only a few select stocks using a swing trading method that employs technical analysis with a little Elliot Wave theory thrown in. If your interested in learning more about technical analysis, I would highly recommend trying out Jack Steiman's service called The Informed Trader.

My favorite stock to trade is AAPL (Apple, Inc), it constitutes more than 80 percent of my trades. There are many reasons for this that I detail here, not least of which is that I'm a HUGE Apple fan, having owned literally 100's of Macs, with my first one purchased just two days after it's introduction in 1984.

This latest gadget tracks the latest stories on Apple, Inc from the investor's perspective. Like all other Jelmor Gadgets, the stories are never more than a few minutes old.

  • The iPod Gadget

I've owned every generation of iPod (the classic style) that Apple has made. Everywhere I go, so goes my iPod. My iPod has become THE indispensable tool, even more so than my mobile phone. The way I listen to the radio has been completely altered by the iPod. No longer do I listen to broadcast radio, unless I'm in the car and there's the Red Sox or Patriots are playing. I choose what I want to listen to, by subscribing to approximately 60 podcasts of every genre, then bring to my car, hooked up to a cassette adapter.

When the iPhone came out, I knew that sooner or later I would be getting one. Well, that time is this November. But what to do with my Video iPod? The one drawback of the Video iPod is the size, especially when going to the gym. But then here comes the new Nano. It's IMHO the perfect iPod and possibly the perfect gadget. I found that I really didn't need the 30 GB that the video has, 8 GB turns out to be plenty to hold all my podcasts, some choice pictures and videos, and about 30 of my favorite albums, with plenty of room to spare.

So anyways, Jelmor now has an iPod Gadget. It aggregates the latest stories on the ipod from the top bloggers and news sources, and delivers them to you on a minute-to-minute basis. Here it is:

  • The Dhammapada Gadget

    erntheburn | Published: Sun Sep 30 18:27:00 EDT 2007
The Dhammapada is said to be the word of the Buddha. It is the essential Buddhist scripture. Written in Pali, the language used by the Buddha, it consists of 423 verses uttered by the Buddha on some 305 occasions, covering all practical and spiritual aspects of life. These sayings were compiled into one book after the Buddha's demise. The sayings are arranged into 26 chapters, according to subject matter.

Now, for the first time, the Dhammapada is being presented as a Google Gadget. You can either use it here as is, or feel free to include it on your iGoogle home page or publish it on your own website.
