Jelmor is a feed aggregator, but not your typical aggregator. Jelmor employs a concept called Jelmor Gadgets. Gadgets are objects that aggregate various feeds of like topics. These topics are defined by a collection of taxonomies. The taxonomies cover several different domains that are expressed as sections in the Jelmor sitemap.

The sitemap makes it easy for you to find the gadgets on the Jelmor website by categories that everyone should be familiar with. You get to the sitemap by clicking the sitemap tab at the top of every Jelmor page.

When you first get to the sitemap it is collapsed. Simply click on the desired category header and it will expand to reveal all the gadgets associated with that header and organized by various sub categories.

When you click on a gadget, you will be presented with a list of stories that are colelcted from many different feeds that the gadget discovered. On the upper-left corner of the page, you'll find links to other related gadgets. You can click on those gadgets to see other related stories.

  • Jelmor Introduction

Jelmor is a free information collection site. The idea for Jelmor was conceived many years ago as Jerry and I discussed ideas for tools on the web, that people like you, would find useful. We have full-time jobs, but in our spare time we've put together, what we think,is a very useful tool.

It is increasingly more difficult to find good and timely information on the web these days. Either there's too much or too little of what we all are looking for. Seems like most experts are putting their thoughts and insight in the form of on-line journals. These journals are published in standardized formats called feeds (such as RSS and Atom).

This is where Jelmor comes in. We find the best sources of information published as feeds, parse it, filter it, and put them together in a concise, easy to use format. Also, Jelmor is timely, because we actively collect information every five minutes, so you can be assured that you are reading information that is up-to-date. This saves you the time and effort required to hunt down this information.
